Outlander PHEV – AutoVoltSUV Electric & Hybrid Award

The Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV is no stranger to praise. The SUV utilises electric technology to offer an eco-friendly and peaceful drive without compromising on the capability of the 4x4. It has been a best-selling plug-in car in the UK, and it comes as little surprise that it has scooped awards. Judges at AutoVolt commended the Outlander PHEV on its good looks that have both rugged and smart appeal. The SUV cleverly hides its hybrid technology by concealing the plug port neatly into the body and refraining from adding the blue detailing usually found on plug-ins.

L200 – AutoExpress Pick-Up of the Year

For the second year running, the L200 pick-up truck has taken home the AutoExpress Pick-Up of the Year award. It fought off stiff competition from the Nissan Navara and Ford Ranger to take the title. Impressive both in terms of comfort and capabilities, it’s a true all-rounder of a pick-up truck. AutoExpress commented, “Its robust underpinnings will take just about anything you throw at a working vehicle, but the Mitsubishi is more car-like to drive than its rivals”. Cheaper than both the Ford Ranger and the Nissan Navara and with strong fuel economy, returning up to 42mpg, it’s ideal for businesses. The judges also praised the easy ability to switch between rear and all-wheel drive to enjoy the best performance on various roads.
