Our Annual Engagement Meeting & Awards Ceremony

An incredible night at the AMEX stadium

What an incredible night we had at the AMEX stadium for our Annual Engagement meeting & Awards ceremony. Hosted by Paula Kemp our Marketing and IT Director, the evening saw the reveal of our latest Colleague Engagement survey results, presented by our FD, John Newton. Our keynote speaker was Pete Parker MD and Organisational Leader, who took us through our Engagement and Values journey so far and then mapped out the challenges and opportunities that face us in 2019. All agreed this presentation embodied our Values and the behaviour that makes us Birchwood People. Team activities included making a balloon snowman and a Christmas tree out of wallpaper; sounds easy? Try it at home! The event culminated in our Awards ceremony, a fantastic celebration of success, Engagement and living our Values. One of the highpoints of the evening was the arrival of Duke Raphael, winner of the best EVHC award. Duke had broken down on the way to the AMEX so had gone home to collect his motorbike and arrived at the ceremony, freezing cold, just as his award was announced.

A fantastic event, enjoyed by all and a perfect way to celebrate our Engagement movement. Here's to an amazing 2019!
