Birchwood Group is a forward-looking company with retail stores, workshops and facilities based across the south coast of Sussex and Hampshire.
Reporting to the Commercial Brand Manager, we are seeking a Commercial Vehicle Stock Controller to take responsibility for the presentation, administration, movement, and advertising of new and used commercial vehicle stock, including associated driving activities.
This is a varied, hands-on role that requires strong organisation, attention to detail, and a professional approach when working with colleagues, suppliers, manufacturers, and customers.
Your duties will include but are not limited to the following:
- To ensure both new & used vehicles are advertised correctly on all platforms. This includes taking vehicle photos, ensuring vehicles are clean and well-presented throughout, creating be-spoke advert descriptions, and filling out all relevant information as requested on platforms.
- To ensure showroom vehicles and used vehicle displays are well presented and compliant with standards at all times.
- To ensure new & used vehicles are checked in and stored at the appropriate location.
- To co-ordinate the effective and efficient preparation of vehicles to ensure that vehicles are ready for advertisement and sale within company expected timescales.
- Carry out New and Used Commercial vehicle stock checks in compliance with company policy.
- To enter information correctly on manufacturers' systems as required.
- To work as a team with colleagues to ensure that the business operates effectively.
- To complete various driving tasks including collecting & delivering vehicles.
- To promote Birchwood Group through a professional attitude to work and when dealing with suppliers, manufacturers and customers.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required:
- Full clean driving license (essential)
- Ability to oresent information clearly and concisely (good oral and written communication skills)
- Passion for cars
- Sales experience
- Approachable
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Ability to self-prioritise workload according to business needs and carry out tasks within set timeframes
- Flexible with a positive outlook and a team player
Package:
- Salary: £25,000 + Bonus (OTE £28,000)
- Hours: 37.5 hours per week. Monday – Saturday 8.30am – 5.00pm - day of during the week in lieu of Saturday working
- Holiday: 22 days per year + bank holidays
