Destination Motorcycles is currently seeking a motivated Motorcycle PDI Technician to join their team in Christchurch, Dorset. The Motorcycle Pre-Delivery Inspection (PDI) Technician plays a vital role in ensuring all motorcycles are prepared to the highest standards before reaching our customers.

This position is responsible for inspecting, assembling, and preparing new and used motorcycles in line with manufacturer specifications, while maintaining a strong focus on safety, quality, and attention to detail. Working as part of the workshop team, the PDI Technician helps ensure every bike is roadworthy, compliant, and presented to an excellent standard, contributing directly to customer satisfaction and the reputation of the business.

Your duties will include but are not limited to the following:

• Carry out pre-delivery inspections (PDI) on new and used motorcycles
• Assemble and prepare motorcycles to manufacturer specifications
• Conduct safety checks and ensure all bikes are roadworthy
• Install accessories and carry out minor repairs where required
• Maintain accurate records of work completed
• Identify and report any faults or issues prior to customer delivery
• Ensure the workshop area remains clean, organised, and safe
• Support the wider workshop team with general duties as needed

Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required:

• Previous experience working with motorcycles (PDI or technician role preferred)
• Strong mechanical knowledge and attention to detail
• Ability to follow manufacturer guidelines and processes
• Good time management and ability to meet deadlines
• A proactive and flexible approach to work
• Full UK motorcycle licence essential

Desirable (but not essential)

• Experience with brands such as Triumph, KTM, Husqvarna, GASGAS
• Relevant mechanical qualifications (e.g., NVQ or equivalent)
• Experience fitting aftermarket parts and accessories

Package:

Working Hours: 42.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday 08:00-17:00 1/2 hour lunch break

Salary: £30,000

Holiday: 22 days plus bank holidays
