Birchwood Group is a forward-looking company with retail stores, workshops and facilities based across the south coast of Sussex and Hampshire.
We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Technician to join our busy workshop at our Kia Chichester dealership. As a Technician at Birchwood Group, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality service and repairs to vehicles, ensuring they are safe and meet our customer's needs
Your duties will include but are not limited to the following:
- Carryout vehicle servicing and repairs
- Carryout basic diagnosis of vehicle faults
- Repair and rectify electrical and mechanical defects consistently to a high standard of workmanship
- Follow manufacturers recommended repair processes
- Carryout electronic vehicle health checks combined with video evidence
- Complete all associated administration including repair write-ups and warranty claim information
- Liaise with After-Sales Advisors and work as part of a team
- Carryout mandatory manufacturer training as and when required
Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required:
- Previous experience as a vehicle technician in diagnostics, repairs, and servicing
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good problem-solving skills and able to manage tasks efficiently
- Excellent attention to detail
- Full valid UK driving license (required)
Package:
- Salary: £32,000-£40,000 (OTE £38,000-£46,000) dependent on level of experience
- Hours: 42.5 hours average per week, Monday-Friday 08:00-17:00, Saturdays 8:00-12:00 (1 in 3 on rota)
- Holiday: 22 days per year + bank holidays
