Birchwood Group is a forward-looking company with retail stores, workshops and facilities based across the south coast of Sussex and Hampshire.
Reporting to the Sales Manager, we are looking for a highly motivated individual with a genuine passion for delivering exceptional customer service, to join our busy sales department at our Omoda/Jaecoo dealership in Eastbourne.
This is a rewarding and fast-paced role where customer care always comes first. You will support and guide customers every step of the way through every stage of their journey, ensuring a smooth, enjoyable and professional experience from initial enquiry to the purchase of their new vehicle.
Your duties will include but are not limited to the following:
- Learn and develop product knowledge across the dealership’s vehicle
range through structured brand and manufacturer training
- Welcome customers to the showroom and provide a professional, friendly
first point of contact
- Understand customer needs through effective questioning and recommend
suitable vehicles and finance options
- Support senior sales executives during the sales process, including
vehicle presentations and test drives
- Assist with preparing vehicles for customer handover and explaining
basic vehicle features
- Maintain accurate customer records using the dealership CRM system
- Follow dealership sales procedures, compliance requirements, and FCA
guidelines
- Attend training sessions, team meetings, and manufacturer courses as
required
- Keep the showroom and forecourt presentable, ensuring vehicles are
clean, priced correctly, and well displayed
- Carry out follow‑up calls with
customers to build relationships and encourage repeat business
- Liaise with colleagues and other departments to provide seamless service
- Support promotional events, launches, and marketing activities
- Continuously develop sales skills with the aim of progressing to a fully
qualified Sales Executive role
Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required:
- Full clean driving licence
- Passion for cars
- Approachable
- Strong communication skills
- Flexible with a positive outlook and a team player
Package:
- Salary: £16,000 + Bonus (OTE £35,000.00)
- Hours: 41.5hrs per week - Monday to Friday - 08:30 to 18:00, Saturday 08.30 to 17.00
- Car: Company vehicle provided
- Holiday: 22 days per year + bank holidays
