Whenever you’re out and about and you need to stop and charge your Motability vehicle, you’ll have access to the bp pulse charging network. (Conditions apply.)

A choice for everyone The average EV battery range is about 200 miles, although it varies from car to car. The Kia EV6, for example, has a range of up to 328 miles.

Cheaper running costs EVs in particular are very affordable to run because, pound for pound, electricity is cheaper than fossil fuel. It’s much cleaner too, which means that all electric, plug-in hybrid and the majority of hybrid vehicles are ULEZ friendly.

Can I get a home chargepoint on the Motability Scheme?

Yes – the cost of a standard chargepoint installation is covered by Motability.

Can I have a home chargepoint fitted and get access to the bp pulse network?

Yes. It provides access to more than 9,000 bp pulse chargers located around the UK. For full details, please click here.

Do I need to give my home chargepoint back at the end of my lease?

No. It’s yours to keep, even after the lease has ended.

I have a problem with my home chargepoint. What do I do?

Your home chargepoint is covered by a three-year warranty, during which time you can call the installer (Ohme: 0203 936 9571 or Easee: 0300 456 4566). We recommend that you insure your home chargepoint (as part of your home insurance) in case of damage.

What's the difference between a tethered and untethered chargepoint?

Tethered – a chargepoint that has a charging cable already connected.
Untethered – you’ll need to connect your car’s charging cable (all Motability EVs and PHEVs are supplied with a charging cable).

Can I get a solar-compatible home chargepoint?

Yes. However, you would need to cover the extra cost. Full details can be found here.
