Marketing Team Leader


We are looking for a Marketing Team Leader to lead a team of 3+ marketing executives delivering a multi media marketing service for our varied automotive business which includes cars, commercial vehicles, motorbikes and ancillary services.

You will be required to effectively manage multiple campaigns and projects simultaneously and develop effective relationships with manufacturers, marketing agencies, suppliers and internal customers.

This is a highly demanding role within a busy Marketing Department in a targets driven environment.

You relish data analysis as much as you love fun social campaigns and can switch between the two without losing track of either. You understand you need to develop and support the marketing executives whilst challenging them to push beyond their comfort zones.

You will be a marketing executive or equivalent yourself and are now ready to take the lead whilst still mucking in setting up events, helping out colleagues, talking to people rather than emailing, making their lives easier rather than adding to their workload.

Duties:

•Working closely with the marketing executives and wider leadership team, you will be responsible for ensuring that all Manufacturer marketing programmes are thoroughly and effectively communicated to existing and conquest audiences

·Ensuring that all manufacturer marketing planners are fully and effectively completed by the marketing executives and actioned accurately, regularly reviewing progress and updating should market conditions dictate

·All websites are achieving Birchwood/manufacturer standards in terms of appearance, contact, CX and are regularly audited.

·Ensuring that all marketing software and third party supplier software is being fully and accurately utilised and producing user results/analysis

·Understanding how to develop a customer communication programme to ensure our database is used efficiently and effectively whilst adhering to the highest levels of GDPR legislation. Any programme needs to be seamless between the various disciplines; people are not sales or service- they are our customers.

·Producing specific campaign KPI reports to track all marketing activity identifying success and opportunities to improve

·Lead management reporting, supporting Brand leaders and managers in identifying which team members are not managing their leads as required.

·Overseeing all social media activity, balancing the need for Brand, Manufacturer, organic and paid for activity

·Overseeing and co-ordinating all activity across multi online and offline media.

·Overseeing PR activity such as our Birchwood Charity and local community partnerships, ensuring all PR and blog outlets are fully up to date and relevant.

·Carrying out geographical and demographic market analysis to ensure we are correctly targeting our activity.

Qualifications:

A relevant degree qualification is desirable but not essential. A minimum educational standard of A Level or equivalent is required. English and Maths GCSE level 3 or above are compulsory

Proven experience in all duties in the specifics section is required, ideally acquired in an automotive environment such as media/digital agency or dealership Group. However, we have plenty of automotive expertise so we are more interested in your marketing and leadership experience

Proven experience utilising software such as Salesforce, Dotmailer, Pinnacle, Netdirector or the equivalent

Proficient in Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Adobe Photoshop

Minimum 5 years in a formal working environment (vacation and college work excluded)
