The Citigo runs daytime running lights, heated rear windows and 14-inch wheel trims as standard across its range. Trim levels include the SE, which comes with enticing body colour detailing, and the more luxurious Monte Carlo, which adds sunset privacy glass to the SE’s standard equipment.
The interior comes with a neat and glossy dashboard, and benefits visually from chrome-detailed trim for stereo and ventilation controls. All trims offer 60/40 split folding rear seats and air conditioning as standard features, with an attractive leather steering wheel with red stitching included with the Monte Carlo range. The range-topping SE L trim is fitted with ŠKODA’s Portable Infotainment Device, which features Garmin sat-nav and Bluetooth. The 251-litre boot is impressive when you consider the car’s size, and extends to 951 litres when the rear bench is adjusted.
The Citigo’s capable 1.0-litre engine comes in 59bhp and 74bhp versions, and is paired with a five-speed manual gear box. Both return 95Nm of torque and generate low emissions of CO2 (105g/km and 98g/km). The 74bhp engine returns up to 67.3mpg and is fitted with GreenTech gear to maximise fuel economy.
Safety features include Anti-Lock Braking System, Electronic Stability Programme, ISOFIX rear child seats and driver and passenger airbags. The Citigo received a full five-star safety rating from Euro NCAP.
