Kia PBV FAQs

What are the warranty terms for Kia hybrid and electric vehicles?

Close

Kia offers a seven-year warranty (or 100,000 miles, whichever comes first) on all its hybrid, plug-in hybrid and 100% electric vehicles.

How long does it take to charge a Kia electric vehicle, and what different charging options are available?

Close

Charging times vary depending on the Kia model in question, its battery capacity and the charging method used. For instance, the Kia EV6, when using a 233kW public connector, takes about 18 minutes to achieve a 10% to 80% charge. Using a 50kW public connector, it takes around 66 minutes (10% to 80%). With a dedicated home chargepoint (rated at 7kW), it takes a little more than 11 hours to receive a full charge (0% to 100%).

Are there significant savings in fuel and maintenance costs with Kia hybrid and electric models?

Close

Yes. Kia’s hybrid models offer better fuel economy than purely combustion engined equivalents. This is certainly true of the brand’s plug-in hybrid vehicles – and Kia’s all-electric models are very affordable to run.

In terms of maintenance, an electric powertrain comprises fewer moving parts than a combustion engine and is therefore less likely to malfunction, which means greater servicing savings.
