Kia PV5 Passenger Named ‘MPV of the Year’ – Award-Winning Electric Innovation Arrives at Birchwood Kia

The all-new Kia PV5 Passenger has made an outstanding start to its UK journey, earning the prestigious ‘MPV of the Year’ award shortly after the first customer deliveries began at the end of 2025. Originally unveiled during Kia’s global EV Day event in February 2025, the innovative electric MPV is already attracting significant attention from both industry experts and drivers alike.

This latest accolade joins an impressive list of achievements for Kia’s newest electric people carrier, including the highly respected 2026 International Van of the Year title — further highlighting Kia’s leadership in next-generation electric mobility.

Award-Winning Design and Practicality

Judges from What Car? praised the Kia PV5 Passenger for combining exceptional space with intelligent design. They commented that a great MPV must prioritise passenger room, and the PV5 delivers this in abundance. Beyond its generous interior, the model stands out thanks to clever storage solutions, intuitive infotainment technology, and innovative features such as available vehicle-to-load (V2L) charging capability.

Comfort also plays a key role, with supple suspension and a raised driving position helping create a refined and confident driving experience — making the PV5 Passenger a superb all-round choice for families and business users seeking a versatile electric vehicle.

Flexible Electric Performance to Suit Every Lifestyle

Available in two trim levels, the Kia PV5 Passenger offers customers the choice between standard-range and long-range battery options, ensuring flexibility for different driving needs and lifestyles. Whether used for daily commuting, family travel, or business transport, the PV5 is designed to deliver practicality without compromise.

Built from the ground up on Kia’s advanced Electric-Global Modular Platform for Service (E-GMP.S), the PV5 Passenger maximises interior packaging to create exceptional passenger comfort and usable space — a defining feature of Kia’s new generation of electric vehicles.

More to Come: Seven-Seat Version Arriving in 2026

Kia continues to expand the PV5 range, with a seven-seat version set to be unveiled in 2026, joining the five-seat model currently available. This upcoming addition will further strengthen the PV5 Passenger’s appeal for larger families and customers needing even greater versatility from their electric MPV.
