In the year of the Brazil 2014 World Cup, it was a bumper 12 months for Ford. In total, the company won no fewer than 46 awards.
WhatCar? gongs went to the Fiesta for both Best Small Car and Best Hot Hatch (ST variant), as well as Best Used Small Car. Also decorated was the Focus for Best Used Car of the Year and Best Used Family Car, something the Fiesta had picked up four times in eight years. Last, but not least, the Mondeo was declared Best Used Estate.
CarBuyer awarded the Fiesta with Best Small Car, and the ST variant with Best Hot Hatch.
The Fiesta received Best Supermini from Auto Express, who also recognised the New Transit for the second year running with Van of the Year.
Next up, Honest John awarded the C-MAX with Best MPV for the fourth successive year. The Mondeo received Most Highly Rated Car and the Transit Custom was declared Best Van.
The Fiesta triumphed again, this time winning Car of the Year and Best Supermini from Telegraph Motoring.
Not to be outdone, the S-MAX picked up the Best MPV accolade from Business Car Awards for the seventh year in a row.
Multiple wins were garnered by Ford’s fleet of vans, including the Transit Custom, which was bestowed the Best Crew Van honour at the Business Van of the Year Awards.
The Transit Connect picked up International Van of the Year among its six wins. The New Transit accumulated six gongs, including Light Commercial Vehicle of the Year and Large Panel Van of the Year from the Fleet Van Awards. Other winners this year were the Fiesta Van (Small Van of the Year) and the Ranger (Best Pick-up).
Ford itself received five awards, including Van Manufacturer of the Year for the second year in a row at the Van Fleet World Honours.
