ALL-NEW, ALL-ELECTRIC E-TRANSIT CUSTOM VAN READY TO ELECTRIFY SMALL BUSINESS PRODUCTIVITY.

The E-Transit Custom is launching at a pivotal time for small business EV adoption. A report from the Centre for Economics and Business Research reveals that EV van registrations have increased over fivefold from 2018 to 2023, with over 350 low-emission zones now covering more than 80 million people in Europe.

Designed to meet customer needs, the E-Transit Custom combines advanced EV technology with Ford Pro's software and services to reduce ownership costs and improve efficiency. Ford Pro also introduces an integrated home charging solution, including a connected wall box, management software, and maintenance, across major European markets.

The van, crucial for SMEs contributing €1 trillion to the EU and UK economies, features standard 5G connectivity, a tilting steering wheel, a driving range of up to 209 miles (337 km), and two-year unlimited distance service intervals. It offers a payload capacity of up to 1,011 kg and a towing capacity of 2,300 kg.

Hans Schep, general manager of Ford Pro Europe, highlighted the essential role of small businesses and Ford's dedication to serving them with various van options and productivity-enhancing services.

The E-Transit Custom, available for order and produced at Ford Otosan’s plant in Türkiye, joins Ford Pro’s European electric van range alongside the larger E-Transit and the upcoming E-Transit Courier, set for release in 2025.

The E-Transit Custom features a 64kWh battery, providing up to 209 miles of range. It uses vapor-injected heat pump technology for improved efficiency and regenerative braking for one-pedal driving. The motor is mounted to maximize load space, with power options of 100kW or 160kW, and a 210kW motor for the MS-RT model.

Charging takes 6.7 hours with an 11kW home charger or 39 minutes from 10-80% with a 125kW DC charger. The van has a towing capacity of up to 2,300kg and an integrated battery design for space efficiency. The 2.3kW Pro Power Onboard system can power tools and lights.

Ford Pro expects lower operating costs compared to diesel vehicles, with up to 40% savings in servicing. It offers a two-year, unlimited distance service interval and an eight-year, 100,000-mile warranty on high-voltage components

Ford developed the E-Transit Custom with input from SMEs, focusing on:

  • Easier loading with a lower load floor, class-leading side door aperture, and new side step
  • Height under two meters for better access to restricted areas
  • Improved handling with semi-trailing arm independent rear suspension

Productivity and comfort features:

  • Mobile Office pack with tilting steering wheel
  • Delivery Assist technology
  • Improved space and access with repositioned front wheels and strut towers
  • Additional dashboard storage with roof-mounted passenger airbag
