In a display of community spirit and support, the St Wilfrid's Hospice Rainbow Run took place over the weekend, leaving participants of all ages laughing. Among the volunteers, our Birchwood Power Purple team happily joined in the festivities, armed with our buckets of paint (powder) and with one aim… Transform the participant’s T-shirts to Purple.
It was amazing to see a wider range of ages supporting the run, with participants ranging from newly born babies to participants in their 80s. Each participant sported a white T-shirt, awaiting the moment when the power purple paint would splash onto their shirts, creating a rainbow dye of all the team’s colours. Friends, families, and community members filled the day with laughter.
St Wilfrid's Hospice, a local organisation committed to providing exceptional care and support to those facing life-limiting illnesses, organised the Rainbow Run to raise awareness and crucial funds for their fantastic services. The event successfully showcased the spirit of teamwork dedication to making a positive impact.
Our team want to express our admiration for St Wilfrid’s Hospice for creating such a safe and supportive environment for individuals and families during difficult times. The Rainbow Run served as a testament to the hospice's invaluable contribution to the community.
