When we first started we ran a selection of different vehicles, and these grew organically as we did. Then some five years ago we looked at all the major van suppliers and settled upon Ford. The reason being their selection of vans, their load capacity, reliability, service package and their pricing structure. We then leased under a fully maintained lease two Ford Transit Connect vans and 1 Ford Transit Custom van. These leases were originally for three years but we extended them for a further two years.
Late last year we began the search for their replacement. I visited several garages but eventually settled upon Birchwood Ford in Eastbourne, primarily because I found Logan in the van sales department very helpful and knowledgeable. We were of course already sold on their van selection. After looking at all the options, both in terms of configuration and also cost we settled upon one Transit Courier, two Transit Connect’s and one Transit Custom. The deposit was paid in December 2019 with a view to take delivery in April 2020.
Unfortunately with the onset of Corona virus things changed. We actually took delivery of the four new vans in August 2020. During these difficult times Birchwood Ford, and in particular Logan were very helpful, even after a hiccup due to having to re‐submit our finance agreement for a second clearance. I would not hesitate in recommending Ford vans and Birchwood Ford to any tradesman looking to change their van.
