The Ford Mondeo was awarded with the title of 'Greenest Family Car' by WhatCar?. It boasted two important accomplishments for the Ford Mondeo, being a strong family-friendly appeal and impressive efficiency. With a 1.6-litre turbo diesel engine sitting under the bonnet the car provided the award-winning level of fuel economy. The Mondeo was capable of as much as 65.6mpg.
WhatCar? also went on to award the Mondeo as not only the 'Best Family Car' but the 'Best Estate Car for The Year'. Taking into account the Mondeo had only been on sale for a short few months at the time, the awards proved the huge interest and proven success of the new-generation Mondeo.
Diesel Car Magazine also gave an award to the Mondeo also as the 'Best Diesel Large Car' - burning only 65.7mpg of diesel and producing 114g CO2/km.
The S-MAX shone for another year winning its fifth 'MPV of the Year award' as voted by jurors of BusinessCar magazine, as well as its readers and website visitors.
The Ford Focus earning gongs from Diesel Car magazine for being the 'Best Diesel Medium Car'. Also the Focus was a winner at the Fleet World Honours awards presentation for the Safety Award.
In August, the Focus triumphed once more when BusinessCar bestowed upon it a Techie award for the range and quality of technology offered by the compact family car.
