Geneva Motor Show 2017

The Latest from Ford, Kia, ŠKODA & Mitsubishi

The 87th Geneva Motor Show has been another successful year, with exciting new models and technology unveiled. This year, we were especially excited here at Birchwood Group with; Ford showcasing the next generation Fiesta ST whilst having the exclusive Ford GT on display. Kia unveiling the recently announced all-new Kia Stinger, as well as the first look at the new Kia Picanto. ŠKODA have been very busy; they had the hugely anticipated Kodiaq, which is available in branch from April, the new facelift Octavia vRS and Octavia Scout took centre stage, whilst also having Citigo and Rapid/Rapid Spaceback facelifts also unveiled. The excitement didn't stop there, as we were surprised to see Mitsubishi announce an all-new model set to release in early 2018; the all-new Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross.

Ford

Next generation Ford Fiesta ST makes global debut as Ford showcases Ford Performance line-up in Geneva. This new petrol engine will deliver an unprecedented combination of power and fuel efficiency, providing 200 PS, 290 Nm of torque and anticipated 0-100 km/h (0‑62 mph) acceleration in 6.7 seconds, using innovations including a new combination of port fuel injection and direct fuel injection, sophisticated turbocharging, and innovative new cylinder deactivation technology to deliver high power and responsiveness alongside reduced CO2 emissions.*

The next generation Fiesta ST is developed using the same Ford Performance innovation mindset that delivered the Ford GT ultra-high-performance supercar, on show in Ford GT ’66 Heritage Edition livery for the first time in Europe at the Geneva Motor Show. The model honours Ford's 1966 Le Mans victory, offering a Shadow Black exterior in either gloss or matte finish with silver stripes and exposed carbon fibre; Frozen White hood and door graphics; and 20-inch one-piece forged aluminium wheels in a gold satin clearcoat with black lug nuts.

Kia was gearing up to unveil some of its most outstanding releases ever at this year's Geneva Motor Show, which has created a real buzz.

Just one of the highlights, a special one at that, of Kia’s attendance to the 87th Geneva Motor Show is the All-New Kia Stinger- a ground-breaking new model which is built for the track and the road and made bolder than anything that’s come before it. With sheer driving thrill at its heart, the new fastback is poised to be a popular choice in Sussex.

Kia are also proud to debut the all-new Kia Picanto. With a strong customer following already, this new model is revving up to bring a new energetic youthfulness to the A-segment. With a refined exterior and interior, we’re expecting existing fans, drivers, and critics eagerly anticipate this new model.
