The new version of the software called ME 3 includes updates to the infotainment system’s functions, controls, and design. In the future, it will allow updates of your vehicle’s software without the necessity to visit your service partner. The improved battery management improves your car’s range and increases the charging efficiency, which means shorter charging times. This update also includes an expanded range of ŠKODA Connect online service
All other updates will now run over-the-air using the Online System Update service. Therefore, a visit to the service partner will no longer be necessary for further updates.
1. Optimized charging management and higher charging power
The charging and range graphics in the infotainment now include a destination display (see the Owner’s Manual in the infotainment system: High-voltage system › Setting the charging process › Overview).
2. Changes of the Digital Cockpit
It provides a more intuitive display of objects in the surrounding area, and the battery level symbol now also includes the state of charge as a percentage. The head-up display now shows a 3Dvisualisation of the distance to the destination.
3. Reducing the turn signal volume
Level Based on customer feedback, the volume of the turn signal has been turned down.
4. Improved navigation system
It allows easier searches for charging stations, the filtering of charging stations by preference, and the option of filtering IONITY and Powerpass stations (see the Owner’s Manual in the infotainment system: Navigation › Map › Settings).
5. Travel Assist
The travel assist button’s expanded functionality for switching between Adaptive Cruise Control and Travel Assist Selected function is activated by lever under steering wheel. The setting now remains active even after the car is restarted (see the Owner’s Manual in the infotainment system: Driver assist systems › Travel Assist › Settings).
