Milton Keynes, 20 September 2024 – The Škoda Enyaq has once again proven its excellence by winning the title of Best Medium SUV at the 2024 Business Car Awards. Seen as “one of the best EV all-rounders,” this accolade comes three years after the Enyaq secured the Car of the Year title from Business Car, further showing its reputation in the automotive industry.
The Enyaq range is currently at its peak, having gone through significant upgrades for 2024. These improvements include increased power and performance, improved thermal management for the battery—resulting in a longer driving range and quicker charging times, and an updated in-car infotainment system.
Martyn Collins, Editor of Business Car, remarked, “As a former Business Car of the Year, the Škoda Enyaq has received substantial upgrades this year in its drivetrain, battery, and infotainment technology. It’s now better to drive and more efficient, maintaining its status as one of the best EV all-rounders and deserving of its ongoing success.”
In addition to claiming the Best Medium SUV title, the Enyaq also received awards as the Best Electric Large SUV in the EcoCar Electrified Top 50 Awards. In 2022, it was honored as the Top 50 Car of the Year by EcoCar Electrified, as well as titles for Best Electric Medium SUV and Best Electric Car. In addition, it secured the highly thought-for Best Value Electric Car at the Top Gear Electric Awards.
The Škoda Enyaq is available in both Coupé and SUV body styles, offering a range of specs including the 50 Edition, 85 Edition, 85x Sportline Plus, L&K, and vRS. It has an impressive driving range of up to 353 miles and supports DC charging of up to 175 kW, allowing the battery to charge from 10% to 80% in just 28 minutes. Since its launch in 2021, more than 200,000 Enyaq models have been sold, with Škoda set to grow its all-electric lineup with the introduction of the all-new Elroq in October 2024.
