Join us for the launch of the all-new, all-electric Ford E-Transit at Birchwood Ford in Eastbourne.

On Thursday 07 July we will be hosting a launch event for the E-Transit, where you'll be able to get a first look at the van in all of its glory. Doors open at 17:00 and we'll be doing the grand unveiling at 17:30. We'll be here until 19:00 giving you a chance to get up-close and ask any questions to our team of experts.

More than just a van the E-Transit is the ultimate tool providing a range of additional functions on top of a reliable driving experience. The E Transit A 400-volt battery with 68 kWh of usable power does all the hard work, so you’ll never have to worry about low-emission zones again. The E-Transit battery delivers an impressive range of up to 166-196 miles (WLTP test results. 196-mile WLTP Overall Range reflects a combined driving cycle and 166-mile WLTP Extra High range reflects motorway driving)* on a full charge. The E-Transit is the only all-electric cargo van from a full-line automaker available in eight different configurations, including three roof heights and three body lengths, plus cutaway and chassis cab versions to fulfill multiple applications. E-Transit can be further customised with the addition of vocational bodies (on chassis cab and cutaway) and equipment like ladder racks and interior bulkhead and storage solutions. To help ease the transition from gas-powered vans to electric, E-Transit offers the same interior cargo dimensions and most of the same mounting points as Ford Transit®. E-Transit can be ordered with a range of work-ready accessories like bulkheads and shelving directly from the factory, so the van is ready to work upon delivery. The E-Transit still holds comfort as a priority recognising that commercial drivers spend long hours in their vans, Ford designed a highly functional interior for E-Transit with accommodating head room, leg room, and interior walk-through room thanks to small details like the center console with an integrated rotary shifter.

All the Tech You Need

The E-transit is kitted out with a spectrum of functional features. The All-New Ford E-Transit is available with Pro Power Onboard technology, so you can plug-in your electric tools, lights, laptops or other devices while on site. Another built-for-business feature on E-Transit includes optional Pro Power Onboard2, which provides up to 2.4 kilowatts of power for customers to transform the vehicle into a mobile generator that charges and powers tools and equipment on job sites and on the go. That’s enough capacity to power everything from belt sanders to circular saws.

FordPass Pro makes it easy to manage your vehicle whether you're working with a single vehicle or up to five. FordPass Pro gives you the tools to keep your cars running efficiently. The free app allows you to view your vehicle's location and health status, remotely lock and unlock the door and manage your recharging schedules and so much more. Using the FordPass Pro app you're able to set your preferred cabin temperature and activate the climate control from your home or office. Your E-Transit will be pre-conditioned and waiting for you. With Ford Telematics you receive reliable data-driven insights which let you understand the daily operations of your fleet allowing you to maximise productivity and minimise vehicle downtime by promptly resolving any issues identified by Ford Telematics.​​

Intuative Driving Experience​​

E-Transit also brings SYNC® 4 communications and entertainment technology5 to commercial vehicles, featuring a standard 12-inch touchscreen that’s easy to use, plus enhanced voice recognition and available Connected Built-in Navigation. With Ford Power-Up Software Updates, E-Transit software and SYNC features can stay up-to-date without a trip to the dealership. The E Transit also offers a range of driving modes, each one adjusts various settings to optimise performance for the conditions, an Eco Mode is also available, this limits the top speed, reduces the acceleration rate, and uses less power for climate control, thus maximising your E-Transits range and gets the most from the battery, moreover, when L-Mode is activated your battery recharges when you apply the breaks. Another improved feature is the gear shift, the E-Transit utilises a Rotary Gear Shifter which provides you with complete control of the advanced transmission, allowing you to select gears with a simple twist of the dial, another effective change in driving is the E-Transit's parking break which frees up space in the cabin and is much easier to apply, all you have to do is pull the switch on the dashboard towards you.

Helping to improve the performance of their drivers is top of mind for fleet operators, which is why E-Transit works with Ford Pro Intelligence In-Vehicle Coaching, real-time driver coaching delivered through SYNC 4 voice assistant. Any time a driver exceeds a speed limit, rapidly accelerates, brakes harshly, leaves the vehicle on while parked, or fails to fasten a seatbelt, they will receive an in-vehicle audio message asking them to correct their behavior with thresholds set by the fleet manager.​
