The Story of Elliot the Pigeon

As a company, we are proud of our team members for coming together to help an injured pigeon that was found outside our workshop door. It was our Workshop Controller, Elliot, who first spotted the pigeon when he arrived on site at 7:00. The bird looked injured and was limping, which made Elliot immediately concerned. He didn't hesitate to take action and do what he could to help.

Elliot's first priority was to ensure that the pigeon was safe. He found a box and some shredded paper to make a comfortable bed for the bird, put on gloves, and gently picked up the pigeon to place it in the box. This way, the bird was protected from any further harm, and it could rest and recover from its injuries.

Our Birchwood Technicians soon joined in to help. They found a bowl of water for the bird to drink and donated some granola for it to eat. This small act of kindness from our team made all the difference for the pigeon. It was able to quench its thirst and satisfy its hunger, which would help in its recovery.

The next step was to call East Sussex Wildlife Rescue. They specialize in helping injured wildlife and would be able to take care of the pigeon. A man from the organization came to our workshop to collect the pigeon. The fact that there are organizations like East Sussex Wildlife Rescue, who dedicate their time and resources to help injured animals, is heartwarming.

The good news is that the pigeon recovered. This small act of kindness from our team made a significant impact on the life of the pigeon. The bird was able to recover from its injuries and go back to its normal life. Knowing that we played a small role in making this happen makes us proud.

In fact, we were so proud of Elliot's initiative and compassion towards the injured bird that we affectionately named the pigeon after him. It's a reminder to us all of the power of small acts of kindness and how we can make a difference in the lives of others.

It is important to note that our team's actions were not only kind but also responsible. They took the necessary steps to make sure the pigeon was safe and in good hands. They also contacted professionals who were better equipped to take care of the pigeon's injuries.

In conclusion, we are proud of our team members for their compassion towards the injured pigeon and their willingness to take action to help. It's a reminder to us all of the importance of taking care of the animals we share this planet with. We can all make a difference, no matter how small the act, in the lives of animals that need our help.
