Northern Motoring Writers: Car of the Year -After naming the Kia Picanto as the Car of the Year, Derrick Grocock, Vice Chairman of the Northern Motoring Writers said: "Kia's consistent quality and style have seen them become the only company to have two vehicles in the Top 10 on three separate occasions - and this year Picanto topped the bill with the all-new Sportage.”
WhatCar? Geen Awards: Best Supermini - What Car? commented that the Picanto's low 100g/km emission level meant no London Congestion Charge and zero road tax. The magazine also commented: "Average fuel economy of 67.3 mpg is also hugely impressive. The Picanto was also praised for its spacious interior.
Top Gear Magazine: Bargain Car of the Year - The Picanto was praised for being the bargain car of the year with BBC Top Gear Magazine saying “This is the Picanto, our Bargain Car of the Year, a fluorescent metaphor for South Korea’s journey from the havoc of wartime to economic enormity. A prime example of how this place is spooking big businesses, not just with cheap substitutes, but with properly desirable stuff, from smartphones to tellies to cars.”
Scottish Motoring Writers: Best Small Car - The Picanto was praised for being the Best Small Car yASMW President, John Murdoch said: "Superminis remain Scotland's biggest selling segment in 2011 we have seen some cracking new arrivals boasting incredible economy coupled with low emissions. Not only is our top small car good to drive, easy to park, affordable to buy and cheap to run but it's good looking and benefits from the quality feel of its larger siblings. Add in the choice of three or five door body styles and it's clear to see the appeal."
Driving Magazine: Car of the Year - The Picanto was also awarded with another Car of the Year award for 2011 by Driving Magazine. The Picanto showed how it can be a small car yet score highly across the board against many other cars.
Diesel Car Magazine: Best Crossover - The Sportage really glowed this year winning the Best Crossover award from Diesel Car Magazine, it was up against many other competitors.Diesel Car Editor Ian Robertson said the awards showed that ”there has been a lot of new talent arriving on the motoring scene in the past 12 months despite the difficult market conditions!”
Fleet News: Best Crossover - The Editor of Fleet News, Stephen Briers said: The Sportage is an indication of how far Kia has moved on in recent years. The Sportage looks desirable, is good to drive and is highly competitive on running costs, giving it strong appeal for drivers and fleets. Its efficient diesel engines also offer low CO2 emissions, making the Sportage a worthy winner of our ‘Best Crossover’ title.”
Carbuyer: Best 4x4 & Car of the Year - This is the first year that Carbuyer has given awards and Kia won two for the Best 4x4 and also The Car of the Year. Carbuyer’s praised the Sportage as a landmark car, “not only because it blends the best in – on and off-road performance, along with being loaded with kit. It also shows that Kia’s engineers and designers are capable of building a world beating car. Total 4x4 Magazine: Best SUV - The Kia Sorento was named Total 4x4’s Best SUV for the second year in succession. Editor Alan Kidd explains: “The Sorento was our reigning champion in the full-size SUV class, and it impressed us every bit as much this year as last. Its style, poise, kit and practicality all score heavily in its favour.

Parkers: Best Medium Hatchback and Overall Winner - The Kia Cee'd surprised many people this year, showing how a car can be stylish, well-built, spacious and great quality without a huge price tag. one of the major attractions for Kia's is the 7-year/100,000 mile warranty that can be transferred to the new owner. the Cee'd came out brilliantly against its other rivals.
