Sportswagon has plenty of space for transporting passengers and luggage in
The gradual sloping of the bonnet, windscreen and roof creates a sleek elegant profile for the cee’d Sportswagon. Alloy wheels are fitted on all but the entry level model, either 16-inch or 17-inches. The cee’ds paintwork comes in a range of stylish colours – choose from Bronze Metal, Silver Frost, Phantom Black, Fusion White and Infra Red. Tinted glass is fitted as standard, with rear privacy glass in higher spec editions, and chrome window surrounds on all except the entry level trim.
The cee’d Sportswagon had a wide range of trim levels: 1, 2, 3, 4, GT-Line and GT-Line S. Many features such as the LED daytime running lights, front fog lights and rear spoiler are fitted as standard on all models. Other items are reserved for higher trim levels, for example a panoramic sunroof with electric roll-blind is exclusive to the 4 and GT-Line S trims.
Power lumbar support in the 3 trim and GT-Line and GT-Line S makes longer journeys more comfortable for both the driver and the front passenger. Features included in the higher spec editions include an electronic parking brake for the GT-Line S, and heated front seats and steering wheel for the 4 and GT-Line S trims. All models from trim 2 and up get a seven-inch touchscreen satnav system, and Bluetooth with music streaming is provided across the range, as is a DAB radio and six-speaker sound system.
Engine options for the cee’d are the 1.0-litre T-GDi (118bhp) with six-speed manual gearbox and the 1.6-litre CRDi (134bhp) which is available with either six-speed manual or seven-speed automatic transmission. The 1.6-litre CRDi manual edition has the fastest acceleration from 0-60mph, at approximately 10 seconds, and it has a top speed of 121mph, while CO2 emissions are just 102g/km. With fuel efficiency as high as 72.4mpg for this edition, the Sportswagon offers low running costs and is ideal if you do lots of longer journeys with the family.
All cee’d Sportswagon models have a good range of safety features, such as emergency stop signalling, hill start assist, a set of six airbags and tyre pressure monitoring. ISOFIX attachments in the rear keep younger passengers secure, with child safety rear door locks and speed-sensing auto door locking also helping to make journeys safer.
The GT-Line S has the additional benefit of a lane departure warning system with high beam assist technology.
In 2016 the Kia cee’d was named the winner of the Green category of the Tow Car Awards.
