Awards won by Kia - 2013

Kia receives award year after year, recognising not only its vehicles but its dedication to customer service. Kia and its cars received the following awards in 2013:

Kia Motors (UK) Ltd, Best Training Programme, Automotive Management Awards

Kia Approved, Best Approved Used Car Scheme, Car Dealer Magazine

In naming Kia’s Approved Used scheme as the best of its kind, the Car Dealer Magazine judges singled out the provision of one year's roadside assistance, first year MOT cover and a 60-day exchange plan. They all highlighted that Kia has such confidence in its products that it tops up the balance of warranties on vehicles up to 18 months old to the original 7 years’ cover*.

James Batchelor, Editor of Car Dealer said: "This was a closely fought battle and came down to the really small details - but ones that really matter. Kia Approved has a 60-day or 1,000-miles exchange policy showing they really have the customer at heart. They're a worthy winner of this special award."

Practical Caravan Awards: Best Ultra-Light Tow Car - Meanwhile, the Rio won its award as Best Ultra-Light Tow Car after being subjected to a series of tests at the MIRA proving ground in Warwickshire.

Tests included in-gear acceleration; braking to a standstill from 30mph; hill starts; and emergency lane changes. Judges also considered other factors, such as daily driving, safety, running costs and list price.

This award was introduced after feedback from readers of Practical Caravan and members of The Caravan Club, to represent those drivers who tow small trailers and very light caravans. The Rio 1.4 CRDi is rated to tow up to 1,100kg (braked).
